David

Today is David's Birthday. So decided to blog about how much I love him.
I love that David and I talk now! It's absolutely fantastic! We can talk about life and everything. Over the seven week break David and I became really close, spending a lot of time together. We laugh and goof off. We talk about relationships, school, family, and other things. But we do disagree over radio stations. We have had to agree to respect the others music choice but we don't have to love it.
I'm so grateful that I have this relationship with David. I feel like it gets better and better the older we get. He is a very good listener and I appreciate that he is interested in my life. I love that we still communicate while I'm at school and then when I home we just have fun. I'm excited to see how our friendship progresses.
David, you are AWESOME! I love you so much! And I can't wait to come home and chill with ya! Thanks for being amazing and always there for me! You ROCK!

What I love...

So I figured I should probably get rid of the somewhat depressing last post. So I will tell you about something that I love so so so so much! ZUMBA! Zumba makes my day, well my Tuesdays and Thursdays. Some days I just think "you can do this Hannah, you have Zumba tonight." Zumba is a cardio workout mixed with Latin dancing. I love to shimmy and shake my hips! I love the Latin music. Zumba is the best thing of my life. Honestly. You all should try it out!
I went to Zumba tonight and it made me happy.

Eh...

Can I just say that I would like to be home right now? I would like to be home in Washington sitting on my couch surrounded by my family. And that's all I'm going to say because I don't want this blog to be "woe is me". But let's just say I'm tired of drama, I supposedly graduate next semester and I've lost all motivation for school, and big things happened in my family this week and I wish I'd been home for all of it. But Thanksgiving is only 4 weeks away, right? Right! I can make it, right? Right! Okay, I can do this. Go Hannah.

I love these guys. They're my favorite.

Unwind

I recently read "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman. The book takes place in the not too distance future and the war on abortion has ended. Since neither sides could agree on what to do the "Bill of Life" was created. It states that sanctity of life is protected until the ages between 13-18. During this time parents can choose to have their children "unwound". In this process their organs and body parts are harvested, therefore the child "lives on". In this book three teens; Connor a teen who's caused trouble at home and in school, Risa a warden of the state who just wasn't good enough, and Lev the tenth child and a "tithe", are running for their lives to escape being unwound. I found this book so fascinating. The author really builds upon this idea and how it would affect individuals, families, societies, and the whole country. The idea really made me think about how I value human life and I can't imagine a society like this. At one point the author actually goes describes an unwinding from the point of view from a child being unwound, the individual is awake throughout the whole procedure. HOLY COW! That was intense! I would definitely recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Last Weekend...

On our way to Utah last weekend this happened...
Right outside Malad...we were hardly halfway there.

But Baylee is MY HERO!! She changed the tire in less than 10 minutes. Wow! It was AMAZING! (While I tried not to hyperventilate off to the side)

Austin, who was wearing a bright shirt, stood by the car to ward off oncoming traffic. We had to pull over on a side of the road that wasn't very big so we were pretty close to the freeway. I thought for sure a semi truck would hit us.

We were actually all pretty calm, which is a miracle. The rest of the ride we could only go 55 MPH...it was the LONGEST ride of my life. But we listened to GLEE! YAY! And we did finally make it and then commenced to have a fabulous weekend! Conference was absolutely wonderful and the home-cooked meals, made by Marisa's mom, were delicious!

Baylee, Austin, and I definitely bonded over the weekend. We all slept on a queen sized bed(the plush cloud) We stayed up late giggling (Marisa's parents may hate us) and fighting for the covers!

We visited a Halloween store that was fun and creepy and highly disturbing all at the same time...

It was a great weekend! So good to get away and play with awesome roomies!

So Pumped!!

I am so excited for the weekend!! And there are so many reasons why! Do you want to know why? Okay, I'll tell you :)

  • General Conference- I remember when I was a kid and General Conference was kinda a drag and the exciting part was going out to eat in between sessions on Saturday. But one year in H.S it just clicked. And now I LOVE IT!!! Really excited!
  • I have, like, NO homework! WHOOP! It's really a miracle because even if I did have homework it probably wouldn't get done because...
  • I'm going to Mar's house! Now there are many sub-reasons why this is exciting: I get to sleep on the "plush cloud" and also run and jump on it! Baylee and Austin are also coming so it's gonna be just one wild girl party all weekend(wait...isn't that what it's like everyday?) Homemade meals. I've already requested the food that I would like. Yay. And I'm excited to just get away for a couple days. It's going to be fantastic!
  • Basically this weekend is going to be legit.
So I wish I could just skip classes today and leave right now! Currently I'm still in my pj's with wet hair, at least my makeup is done. And the walk to the Ricks for Intro to Social Work is not sounding appealing at all! I'm hoping Mar will be home in the next 30 minutes and she can take me. Keep your fingers crossed! But today is going to be FANTASTIC! Why? You ask. Because I've decided it's going to be.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
