Friends

The past few months I've hardly been social.  It's really quite sad and I didn't realize how depressing/pitiful  the situation was until I got milkshakes with a couple of friends a few weeks ago and realized I'd become quite the loner!  I hadn't seen most of my close friends since I left Rexburg last July.  So I decided to take a little trip to Rexburg and see my friends who are still there!  It was an absolute BLAST!!!  I got some much needed girl time and chit chat time!

Janelle - I stayed with Janelle and her husband Ryan.  It was sooo good to see Janelle again and spend time with her! We've been friends since high school and it's always a good time!  I love that even though we don't see each other every day any more we still connect and can just sit and talk forever!  I love that we have been friends for so long.  I've known her longer than most of my other friends. (This also mean she has the most blackmail on me!) I also was a model for Janelle and we did a style shoot.  She took some amazing pictures(She is a great photographer!!!) which I will post soon!

Kimberly and Tom came over to Janelle's for dinner one night and the three of us old roommates got to catch up.  Kimberly is one of those people that I bonded with immediately.  She was my roommate for 2 semesters my sophomore year.  I remember the day we first met, I walked into our room and on her shelf was the Complete Works of Jane Austen and the movie While You Were Sleeping.  I knew immediately that we would be kindred spirits and we are!  Kimberly is easy to talk to and one of the most loving people I know.  I am so grateful to know her and have her apart of my life.

LISA!!!!!!!!!!  This girl is one of the main reasons I made my trek to Rexburg.  Sadly, we didn't met until my Senior year and I only had 2 semesters left.  Lisa lived a couple apartments down from me and was in my ward.  Our friendship began because Lisa stalked me.  At a ward activity she came up to me and told me she thought I was awesome and that we should be friends.  Who can say no to that?  The rest is really history.  We became great friends and I can't imagine how I lived without her!  She's the reason I survived my last semester.  We were Zumba and Abs that Rock buddies, we kept each other sane, quoted FRIENDS, and kept Kiwi Loco in business.  I LOVE this girl!  There are no words to describe how important she is to me and how grateful I am that she stalked me.

Austin - My camera sat in my purse during our reunion so here is an old picture.  I am so glad I got to see this girl!!  We had about an hour and a half between her classes and we chatted just like old times on the grass outside the Ricks building.  I love everything about this girl!  She was another roommate who became a kindred spirit right away.  We met my junior year and I can't remember what life was like before her (most likely bleak and boring haha).  We would stay up late listening to music, talking about life, quoting movies, and when it got really late laughing hysterically until Brenda came in and yelled at us (Sorry Brenda!!!)

Makenzie - I also forgot my camera with her so I don't have a picture of me and Makenzie.  So here is an old one of us (obviously I'm a goof...) I am so glad that she was able to take a little time out of her busy schedule to see me!  Makenzie was a great roommate and later neighbor!  We had some good times playing pranks on each other, watching movies, going to the park, talking, and doing whatever.  I loved cheering her on at her Ultimate Frisbee games.  It was good to see her smiling face again!

I am so grateful for my friends.  They have been my support often, have lifted me up and I am so lucky to have them.  The Lord has blessed me by putting good people in my life.  This is just a small sample of my friends.  There have been many people; roommates, classmates, ward members, and others who have entered my life and then left but there are the few who stayed.  And I'm so grateful that they decided to stay. Thanks girls! I LOVE YOU!

Hello Again

It has been 1 year since I've blogged!  1 YEAR!  It has been one crazy heck of a year!  It has been a year filled with so many ups and downs and didn't go at all the way I'd planned (Welcome to life, Hannah!)  I stayed away from the blog because I didn't want it to become a "woe is me" blog.  Which, pathetically, was my mood for many months.  But I am finally coming out of that slump and feeling a little better about myself  these days.

The past few months have been a lesson in letting go of MY plans and letting the Lord tell me about HIS plans.  He is revealing his plan little by little which makes me nervous because I would like to see the whole thing right now so I can plan accordingly.  But I am learning to go with the flow. For the first time in my life I don't really have a plan (I have a small inkling of one but I'm not ready to share it...) This next year will be an interesting one and I'm trying to get excited about it.

The one plan I do have is that I am going to Utah for the summer to play with my BFF, Marisa!  I am super excited!!!  On July 9 I fly to Utah to spend 6 weeks playing.  I haven't seen Marisa in almost a year and it's been the longest year EVER!  I'm pumped.  After those 6 weeks are up I will get back to real life.  Until then I am taking a break!

Be prepared for AWESOME pictures.  Because I intend to have a party all summer long!
