Family Camping Trip

On Monday our family headed to Cape Lookout to spend a couple days camping at the beach and touring the coast. We had an absolute blast! We arrived at our camping area Monday afternoon and spent the rest of the day on the beach. All day Tuesday was spent splashing in the waves(it was oh so cold!!!) and relaxing in the sand.Wednesday we packed up camp and took the scenic route home. Here are some of the places we visited.
Cape Meares Lighthouse
This is Sam and David's reflection in the Lighthouse's lenses
The Octupus TreeThe Blue Heron Cheese Company...and petting zoo
haha, I just couldn't resist!

TILLAMOOK CHEESE FACTORY!!!!!
Did you know that it takes 10 lbs of milk to make 1 lb. of cheese?
mmmm cheese samples!

Seaside...
where Luke rode the Carousel, we bought Taffy, and visited the Hat Shop

Astoria Column...
where we climbed 164 steps to the top for an amazing view!

There are a million more pictures that I will post another day (I think the computer is getting tired).
All in all it was another successful Henrikson Family Trip!

I never realized how beautiful you are...

This morning I went to rouse Kennedy so she could get ready for swimming. When I came back to her room a little while later she was up and getting dressed. She turned to me and said, "Hannah I never realized how beautiful you are till this morning! I've never seen that necklace before, it's so pretty. And I've never seen that shirt, I really like it. Oh and your socks too! You are so beautiful!" Okay so who doesn't want to be told that every morning? I knew there was a reason why I got up a little early to beautify myself instead of throwing my hair up in a ponytail! This is one of the many reasons why I love Kennedy. She doesnt' hesitate to tell you how great you look!
I LOVE MY JOB!

FHE with the Hardy Family

On Monday the Hardy family came over for a BBQ and a good game of kickball!
The teams were Mom, Dad, Arlee, Stu, Raelynn, and Ainzlee against Me, Sam, David, Isaac, and Luke(although part way through he changed teams).

Ainzlee going for the ball!

Dad getting ready to pitch

After her turn Raelynn spent her time hiding behind the tree.

Ainzlee taking a breather...she was working hard!

Stu...running so fast he's just a blur!

Isaac pitching with Arlee on second base(She's a beast when it comes to kickball!!)

After the game we had some yummy chocolate cake!

We're so happy the Hardys now live close by! Hopefully there will be many more fun nights like this to come this Summer!
